Most specialties or sub-specialties allow for board certification although not required by all facilities. Note that maintenance of certification is currently in litigation and i subject to change. A provider may or may not be board certified for the specialty that he or she practices.
A provider must be licensed within the originating and telemedicine site at time of service. These links may also provide malpractice information if applicable. A provider may have up to fifty state medical license numbers. (Not all specialties can be verified via the Federal State Medical Board)
A provider's education may be difficult to verify if you are not a certified specialist with the provider's signed consent. Each specialty has specific requirements and can be verified on the state licensing website.
